Electronic controllers and measuring elements for heating plant automation: Danfoss ECL Comfort 210/310 controllers, A2xx/A3xx application keys that define the application diagram, ECA remote control/extension modules, Pt1000 immersion, surface, room and outdoor sensors, and sensor pockets.

How does ECL Comfort work?

ECL Comfort is a weather-compensated controller that adjusts the flow temperature according to the outdoor temperature: as the outdoor temperature drops, the flow temperature is raised, so the boiler/heat exchanger is not run at a higher temperature than necessary. The controller operates according to the inserted application key; the key loads the system diagram (heating circuit, domestic hot water, cascade, etc.) and the parameter set into the controller.

Choosing the application key

A2xx series keys are for standard one- or two-circuit applications, while the A3xx series covers more complex diagrams. The key and the controller are ordered separately; on an existing controller, the application can be changed simply by replacing the key.

Choosing sensors

The system uses Pt1000 sensors: immersion type (ESMU) with a pocket for in-pipe measurement, surface type clamped onto the pipe (ESMC), ESMT for outdoor temperature and ESM-10 for room temperature. Immersion sensors should be ordered together with a pocket; the pocket length is selected according to the pipe diameter.
