DN150 is the flanged heat meter size used in the heating plants of large residential complexes, on campuses and at building connections to district heating networks.

DN150 corresponds to a 6-inch pipe size. For this size, the manufacturer ZENNER’s data sheet for the IUF ultrasonic flow sensor gives a nominal flow rate (qp) of 150 m³/h and a maximum flow rate of 300 m³/h. DN150 is one of the sizes with the most body length options: the manufacturer lists lengths of 300, 350 and 500 mm; pressure class PN16 or PN25 can be selected. These options are particularly useful when an ultrasonic meter replaces an old mechanical Woltman-type flow sensor; the manufacturer states that the IUF body lengths are compatible with Woltman WP and WS flow sensors.
