GF+ Aquasystem PP-R Street Elbow 90°
GF+ Aquasystem PP-R Street Elbow 90° — A 90° elbow with a socket (female) on one end and a spigot (male) of pipe diameter on the other. The spigot end is welded directly into the socket of another fitting, so no short pipe piece is needed in between.
Applications
- Turns connected directly to a tee, socket or valve
- Short, compact turns at faucet and fixture connections
- Reducing pipe cutting in tight recesses
Key features
- Male–female design: welds directly into a fitting
- Fewer welding points since no intermediate pipe is needed
- PN25 pressure rating

d: pipe outside diameter (mm) · d1: second outlet pipe diameter (mm) · PN: nominal pressure (bar, 20 °C) · D: body outside diameter (mm) · L1: socket depth (mm) · L2: second socket depth (mm) · LB: overall length (mm). Socket fusion welding times
| Pipe diameter | Welding depth (mm) | Heating (s) | Joining time (s) | Cooling (min) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ø20 | 14 | 5 | 4 | 2 |
| Ø25 | 15 | 7 | 4 | 2 |
Values per DVS 2207-11 at +20 °C ambient and 260 °C heating tool temperature. Below +5 °C, extend the heating time by about 50%. Heating time starts when pipe and fitting are fully seated on the heating dies; during the joining time the parts may be aligned axially without twisting.
Installation tips
- Cut the pipe square with a pipe cutter and mark the welding depth on the pipe.
- Push pipe and fitting onto the heating dies at the same time without twisting; when the heating time is over, join them quickly and axially.
- Do not twist the parts after the joining time; do not pressurize the line before the cooling time has passed.
- Pressure-test the installation before closing walls or screed.
Frequently asked questions
Can the spigot end be welded to a pipe?
No. The spigot (male) end goes into the socket of a fitting; the side that connects to the pipe is the socket end.
