GF+ Aquasystem PP-R Elbow 45°
GF+ Aquasystem PP-R Elbow 45° — A fitting with welding sockets on both ends that turns the line by 45°. Because the change of direction is made in two steps, it guides the flow more smoothly than a 90° elbow; pressure loss and flow noise stay lower.
Applications
- Gradual changes of direction in risers and distribution lines
- Routing around beams, columns or other services (offset with two 45° elbows)
- Keeping flow resistance low in heating and hot water lines
Key features
- Smooth 45° change of direction - less pressure loss than a 90° elbow
- Ø20 – Ø160 mm, PN25 pressure rating
- Both ends suitable for socket fusion welding with Aquasystem pipe

Values per DVS 2207-11 at +20 °C ambient and 260 °C heating tool temperature. Below +5 °C, extend the heating time by about 50%. Heating time starts when pipe and fitting are fully seated on the heating dies; during the joining time the parts may be aligned axially without twisting.
Installation tips
- Cut the pipe square with a pipe cutter and mark the welding depth on the pipe.
- Push pipe and fitting onto the heating dies at the same time without twisting; when the heating time is over, join them quickly and axially.
- Do not twist the parts after the joining time; do not pressurize the line before the cooling time has passed.
- Pressure-test the installation before closing walls or screed.
Frequently asked questions
How many 45° elbows are needed for an offset?
To shift a line in parallel, two 45° elbows are used with a pipe section of suitable length between them.
Which jointing method is used for Ø160 mm?
For Ø160 mm, GF offers two options: butt welded (SDR11) and socket welded. This product is socket welded and can be welded to pipes of all SDR series.
