DN300 (12”) Woltman Water Meters
DN300 (12”) Woltman water meters are flanged, turbine-type mechanical meters used on high-flow main lines. This size is preferred wherever flow is continuously high, such as at the inlets of residential complexes and campuses, in industrial plants and on large irrigation lines.
The size is selected according to the flow rate of the line, not the pipe size: the meter’s permanent flow rate (Q3) must cover the normal operating flow, and short-term peaks must not exceed the overload flow rate (Q4 = 1.25 × Q3). Body length, flange diameter and bolt sizes vary from manufacturer to manufacturer; when selecting the mating flange, use the values in the datasheet of the specific model.
