Siemens VFL41 Lug-Type Butterfly Valve PN16
The Siemens VFL41 series are lug-type butterfly valves with a ductile iron body. In sizes DN200–DN300 with kvs values of 4,000–7,200 m³/h, they are used for shut-off and control in chillers, cooling towers, main distribution and large heating lines. Medium temperature range is -20…120 °C. Thanks to its threaded lugs, the lug-type body can stay in place even when one side of the pipeline is dismantled.
90° rotary valve; can be motorized with SQL341 series butterfly valve actuators.

Selection and installation notes
- The kvs value is selected according to the required pressure drop across the valve at the design flow rate; an oversized kvs reduces control quality.
- When selecting the actuator, choose an actuating force suited to the valve's stroke and close-off differential pressure.
- For glycol-water mixtures or special media, verify the valve's media compatibility in the datasheet.
