NVS Through-Bore Extension 3/4''

NVS - Ported Extension

A ported extension is a fitting used in plumbing systems to direct the water outlet or to make more than one hose connection. It is generally made of chrome-plated brass, stainless steel or plastic and, thanks to its holes, serves to distribute the water flow.

Intended Use

1. Multiple Hose Connection:
• Used to supply two different hoses (e.g. a washing machine and a dishwasher) from a single water source.
2. Water Diversion:
• With its special hole design, it can direct water in different directions (e.g. garden irrigation systems).
3. Installation Adaptation:
• Adapts non-standard connection points.

Ported Extension Types

How Is It Installed?

1. Close the water valve and remove the existing hose.
2. Screw the ported extension onto the valve to secure it.
3. Connect the hoses to the ports (with gaskets or clamps).
4. Seal with Teflon tape or a gasket.
5. Turn on the water and perform a leak test.

Example Use Cases

• "I connected both the washing machine and the dishwasher by fitting a ported extension to a single water inlet."
• "I use a 4-outlet ported extension in my garden irrigation system."

⚠️ Points to Note:

• Watch out for pressure drop (multiple connections can reduce the water flow).
• Adjust the flow rate according to the number of ports.
