NVS AISI 316 Stainless Steel Threaded Rod (Fully Threaded) DIN 975
NVS AISI 316 stainless steel threaded rod: threaded along its full length, metric thread. Size range: M4–M52 (21 sizes). This rod is threaded along its full length; it is sold in 1-meter lengths, cut as needed and used with nuts and washers. It is also known as all-thread rod or stud bar.
AISI 316 (1.4401) is a molybdenum-alloyed stainless steel. It resists chloride media, sea water and chemicals significantly better than grade 304 and is recommended for swimming pools, coastal sites, chemical plants and outdoor use.

Selection and installation notes
- A cut end leaves a burr; file the end and clean the threads before fitting a nut.
- Stainless steel threads can gall (cold weld); lubricate the thread and tighten at low speed.
- A4 (316) is the right choice in sea water, chlorine and acidic environments; for fresh water and indoor use, A2 (304) is more economical.
- Direct contact between stainless steel and galvanized or carbon steel can cause galvanic corrosion; use insulation (washers, unions) between different metals.
