NVS AISI 316 Stainless Steel Butterfly Valve (Sanitary, Weld Ends)
NVS AISI 316 stainless steel sanitary butterfly valve: sanitary type with butt-weld pipe ends. Size range: Ø21.3–Ø168.3 mm (15 sizes). This sanitary butterfly valve opens and closes the flow when the lever is turned; its ends are sized to the pipe outside diameter and are welded into the line.
AISI 316 (1.4401) is a molybdenum-alloyed stainless steel. It resists chloride media, sea water and chemicals significantly better than grade 304 and is recommended for swimming pools, coastal sites, chemical plants and outdoor use.

Selection and installation notes
- Sizes refer to the pipe outside diameter (e.g. 21.3 mm = 1/2″, 60.3 mm = 2″); match them to the outside diameter of your line pipe.
- Before ordering, confirm that the seal material is compatible with the product and the cleaning (CIP) chemicals.
- Grade 316 contains molybdenum and resists chloride media and sea water better than 304.
- Direct contact between stainless steel and galvanized or carbon steel can cause galvanic corrosion; use insulation (washers, unions) between different metals.
