NVS AISI 304 Stainless Steel Butterfly Valve (Sanitary, Butt-Weld Ends)
NVS AISI 304 stainless steel sanitary butterfly valve: sanitary design, butt-weld tube ends. Size range: Ø21.3–Ø114.3 mm (9 sizes). This food-grade butterfly valve opens and closes the flow when the handle is turned; its ends are sized to the tube outside diameter and are welded into the line.
AISI 304 (1.4301) is a general-purpose chromium-nickel stainless steel. It is widely used in water, heating and cooling, compressed air, food processing and indoor and outdoor applications.

Selection and installation notes
- Sizes refer to the tube outside diameter (e.g. 21.3 mm = 1/2″, 60.3 mm = 2″); match them to the outside diameter of the line tube.
- Before ordering, confirm that the seal material suits the product and the cleaning (CIP) chemicals.
- Choose grade 316 where sea water, salty environments or chloride cleaning chemicals are present.
- AISI 304 is intended for general use; choose AISI 316 for chloride media, sea water and swimming pool applications.
- Direct contact between stainless steel and galvanized or carbon steel can cause galvanic corrosion; use insulation (washers, unions) between different metals.
