NVS AISI 316 Stainless Steel Ball Valve (Female Thread, 3-Piece)
NVS AISI 316 stainless steel 3-piece ball valve: BSP female thread on both ends (ISO 228), 3-piece body. Size range: ½″–4″ (9 sizes). This ball valve has a three-piece body and female threads on both ends; because the body sections can be separated, the ball and seals can be replaced during maintenance.
AISI 316 (1.4401) is a molybdenum-alloyed stainless steel. It resists chloride media, sea water and chemicals significantly better than grade 304 and is recommended for swimming pools, coastal sites, chemical plants and outdoor use.

Selection and installation notes
- Use PTFE tape or a thread sealant; do not over-tighten stainless threads, as this can cause galling (cold welding).
- The ball and seals can be replaced by removing the body bolts; release the line pressure before maintenance.
- Grade 316 contains molybdenum and resists chloride media and sea water better than 304.
- Direct contact between stainless steel and galvanized or carbon steel can cause galvanic corrosion; use insulation (washers, unions) between different metals.
