NVS AISI 316 Stainless Steel Ball Valve (Flanged, 2-Piece)
NVS AISI 316 stainless steel flanged ball valve: flanged on both ends, 2-piece body. Size range: ½″–8″ (12 sizes). This quarter-turn ball valve has flanges on both ends; it is bolted to flanged lines with gaskets and is used for shut-off on medium and large diameter lines.
AISI 316 (1.4401) is a molybdenum-alloyed stainless steel. It resists chloride media, sea water and chemicals significantly better than grade 304 and is recommended for swimming pools, coastal sites, chemical plants and outdoor use.

Selection and installation notes
- The bolt circle and number of holes on the mating flange must match the line flange; check the bolt circle diameter in the dimension table.
- Tighten the flange bolts gradually in a crisscross pattern; lubricating stainless bolt threads prevents galling (cold welding).
- Grade 316 contains molybdenum and resists chloride media and sea water better than 304.
- Direct contact between stainless steel and galvanized or carbon steel can cause galvanic corrosion; use insulation (washers, unions) between different metals.
