NVS AISI 316 Stainless Steel Weld Neck Flange DIN 2633
NVS AISI 316 stainless steel weld neck flange: butt-weld neck, raised face (RF). Size range: ½″–10″ (13 sizes). This weld neck flange is butt-welded to the pipe end, and its neck spreads stress into the pipe; it is preferred on high-pressure lines and lines with vibration.
AISI 316 (1.4401) is a molybdenum-alloyed stainless steel. It resists chloride media, sea water and chemicals significantly better than grade 304 and is recommended for swimming pools, coastal sites, chemical plants and outdoor use.

Selection and installation notes
- The neck end is butt-welded to the pipe; prepare a weld bevel that suits the pipe wall thickness.
- The mating flange must have the same PN class and hole pattern.
- Grade 316 contains molybdenum and resists chloride media and sea water better than 304.
- Direct contact between stainless steel and galvanized or carbon steel can cause galvanic corrosion; use insulation (washers, unions) between different metals.
