Novus Ø40 mm PP-R Manifold
Ø40 mm PPRC Manifold is a PPRC (PP-R) manifold made from a Ø40 mm body with a 33 mm internal diameter, with a project-specific length and branch layout. At a water velocity of 1.0–1.5 m/s it is suitable for flow rates of 3.0 – 4.5 m³/h and, at ΔT = 20 K, a thermal output of 70 – 106 kW. Branch sizes, outlet directions and connection type are specified with the order.

What capacity is a Ø40 mm manifold suitable for?
With a body inner diameter of 33 mm, the cross-sectional area is 0.0008 m². Using Q = A × v × 3600, the recommended flow rate is 3.0 – 4.5 m³/h; using P = Q × 1.163 × ΔT, the thermal capacity at ΔT = 20 K is 70 – 106 kW. If ΔT in your heating circuit is 15 K, capacity drops by about one quarter.
Number of branches suitable for this body
The cross-sectional area of the manifold body is selected to be at least 1.5 times the total cross-sectional area of the branches. Under this rule, the upper limits for a Ø40 mm body are:

Connection and end options
Outlets can be made as PPRC weld sockets (unthreaded), brass external thread, brass internal thread, union, flanged or with valves; different types can be combined on the same body. The body ends are closed with a blind plug, dished cap, flange, weld end or thread. On request, ball/butterfly valves, pressure gauge–thermometer pockets, drain valves, air vent connections, legs and brackets are added.
