Honeywell Resideo EW700 Series
The Honeywell Resideo EW700 series is a compact heat meter with ultrasonic flow measurement, designed to measure heating and cooling energy in residential and small commercial buildings.
The meter consists of an electronic calculator unit with an 8-digit LCD, an ultrasonic flow sensor and a PT1000 temperature sensor pair for the flow and return lines. The calculator unit keeps heating and cooling energy in separate registers and displays values in kWh, MWh or GJ. The flow sensor has no moving parts.
Key Features (manufacturer data)
- MID-approved, accuracy class 2 (EN 1434)
- Separate registers for heating and cooling energy
- M-Bus and IrDA interface as standard
- Fully immune to external magnetic fields
- Medium temperature 4–95 °C, working pressure up to 16 bar
- Battery life 10 years
- Horizontal or vertical installation; the installation instructions require a straight pipe run of at least 10×DN upstream and at least 5×DN downstream of the meter
- 1 m fixed cable between the calculator unit and the flow sensor; PT1000 sensor pair with 1.5 m cables
Applications
- Heat consumption metering for apartments and dwelling units
- Centrally heated apartment buildings and residential complexes
- Heat cost allocation and billing
- Offices and small commercial units
Why Honeywell Resideo EW700?
Thanks to its standard M-Bus interface, the Honeywell Resideo EW700 connects directly to existing M-Bus reading systems and records heating and cooling energy separately. MID-approved measurement from a long-established brand such as Honeywell means reliable, auditable records for heat cost allocation.
Installation, Reading and Re-verification
Install the meter in the position and at the mounting point specified in its manual; a strainer upstream of the meter and an isolating valve before and after it (for easy replacement) are recommended. In Türkiye, Novus Energy also provides remote meter reading and heat cost allocation services after installation. Periodic re-verification requirements for heat meters depend on local regulations; see our re-verification and calibration page for details.
