Danfoss Thermostatic Radiator Valve
Danfoss Thermostatic Valve
The Danfoss thermostatic valve is a radiator valve that automatically adjusts the amount of hot water entering the radiator according to room temperature. The thermostatic head senses the ambient temperature; it throttles the valve when the room reaches the desired temperature and opens it again as the room cools down. Each room thus stays at its own desired temperature, preventing overheating and fuel waste.
The product is available as a thermostatic head, a 1/2″ angle valve body or a set combining both.
Which option should I choose?
- Head + Body Set: both parts together for a new radiator installation or a complete replacement of an old valve.
- Head: to replace only the setting head on Danfoss thermostatic valves whose body is still in good condition.
- Body: 1/2″ angle valve connected to the radiator inlet; used to replace a faulty or worn valve body.
Key features
- Automatic adjustment to room temperature, constant comfort in every room
- Fuel and energy savings by preventing overheating
- Easy operation with a numbered, graduated setting head
- Nickel-plated brass valve body, leak-tight and long-lasting
- For radiators in homes, offices and commercial premises
Installation and use
The valve body is connected to the radiator's hot water inlet; the thermostatic head is mounted on the body and turned to the desired setting. The head senses room temperature most accurately when installed horizontally and not affected by curtains, furniture or direct sunlight. The middle setting (3) is a suitable comfort setting for living areas; choose a lower setting in bedrooms and rarely used rooms to save more energy.
