NVS - Pump Union
Pump unions are special connecting elements used in plumbing systems to make pump connections. Also called "pump couplings", they provide a leak-tight, vibration-absorbing and easily detachable connection between the pump inlet/outlet and the pipelines.
1. Functions of a Pump Union
✔ Flexible Connection: Does not transmit pump vibration to the pipe.
✔ Leak-Tightness: Its gasketed design prevents water leaks.
✔ Easy Installation: Allows quick removal and refitting for pump maintenance.
2. Types of Pump Unions

3. Pump Union Installation
- Stop the pump and shut off the water flow.
- Check the union's gasket (replace it if damaged).
- Secure the union to the pump outlet and the pipeline with threads or flanges.
- Perform a water leak test.
⚠ Caution!
- The union's flow direction arrow must match the pump outlet direction.
- For vibrating pumps, choose rubber-gasketed models for a flexible connection.
