NVS Heat Meter Sensor Pocket Reducer 1/2″–1/8″ with Gasket Seat
Heat Meter Sensor Pocket Reducer 1/2″–1/8″
The NVS sensor pocket reducer is a brass fitting used to install the temperature sensors of heat meters in the pipework. Its 1/2″ externally threaded body fits into a 1/2″ female outlet on the pipeline; the temperature sensor is inserted through the 1/8″ port, comes into direct contact with the system water and measures the flow or return temperature accurately. Its gasket seat ensures a leak-tight connection.
Technical specifications
- Material: brass
- Connection: 1/2″ external thread – 1/8″ sensor port
- With gasket (O-ring) seat for leak-tight installation
- Brand-independent use with heat meter temperature sensors
- Manufactured by Novus Energy (NVS); single units and bulk orders
Where is it used?
Used when installing heat meters at apartment entries in buildings with central heating, when placing the free temperature sensor of a heat meter in the flow or return line, when replacing meters, and in pipework modifications where the sensor must be repositioned. Also known as a thermowell reducer.
Installation
Before installation, the line valves are closed and the pressure is relieved. The reducer is fitted into the 1/2″ female outlet with a suitable sealant; the temperature sensor is inserted with its gasket through the 1/8″ port and tightened. After the system is refilled, the connection is checked for leaks.
