NVS - Fork Extension (Washing Machine Fork)

A fork extension is a fitting used to extend the length of water inlet hoses of appliances such as washing machines or dishwashers. It is usually made of chrome-plated brass or plastic, and thanks to its double-threaded design, it acts as a bridge between the hose and the water valve.

Intended Use

1. Making Up for a Short Hose:
• Used as an intermediate connection when the appliance's water inlet hose does not reach the valve.
2. Aesthetics and Durability:
• Chrome-plated models resist rust and give the installation a neater look.
3. Solving Non-Standard Connections:
• It can act as an adapter between different thread sizes (e.g. 3/4" male – 1/2" female).

Types of Fork Extensions

How Is It Installed?

1. Shut off the water valve and remove the hose.
2. Screw one end of the fork extension onto the valve and the other end onto the hose to secure it.
3. Seal with Teflon tape or a gasket.
4. Turn on the water and perform a leak test.

⚠️ Points to Note:

• Choose a material suitable for the required pressure rating (at least 10 bar).
• Always use Teflon tape on models without gaskets.
