NVS AISI 316 Stainless Steel Flat Washer DIN 125
NVS AISI 316 stainless steel flat washer: flat, round, with center hole. Size range: M3–M39 (18 sizes). This flat, round washer is placed under a bolt head or nut. It spreads the clamping force over a wider area and protects the clamped surface from damage.
AISI 316 (1.4401) is a molybdenum-alloyed stainless steel. It resists chloride media, sea water and chemicals significantly better than grade 304 and is recommended for swimming pools, coastal sites, chemical plants and outdoor use.

Selection and installation notes
- A flat washer alone does not prevent loosening; where there is vibration, use a spring lock washer, a serrated lock washer or a lock nut.
- Choose the bolt, nut and washer in the same grade; mixing grades upsets the corrosion balance of the joint.
- Where the joint touches aluminum or carbon steel, use insulation (gasket, plastic washer) against galvanic corrosion.
- AISI 304 is intended for general use; choose AISI 316 for chloride media, sea water and swimming pool applications.
