NVS AISI 316 Stainless Steel Ball Valve (Female Thread, 2-Piece)
NVS AISI 316 stainless steel ball valve: BSP female thread on both ends (ISO 228). Size range: ¼″–4″ (11 sizes). This quarter-turn shut-off valve opens or closes fully with a 90° turn of the lever and has low pressure loss; it is used on water, air, steam and food lines.
AISI 316 (1.4401) is a molybdenum-alloyed stainless steel. It resists chloride media, sea water and chemicals significantly better than grade 304 and is recommended for swimming pools, coastal sites, chemical plants and outdoor use.

Selection and installation notes
- Use PTFE tape or a thread sealant; do not over-tighten stainless threads, as this can cause galling (cold welding).
- Designed for on/off service; do not use it for throttling in a partly open position. Pressure and temperature limits also depend on the seat (seal) material.
- Grade 316 contains molybdenum and resists chloride media and sea water better than 304.
- Direct contact between stainless steel and galvanized or carbon steel can cause galvanic corrosion; use insulation (washers, unions) between different metals.
