NVS AISI 316 Stainless Steel Blind Flange DIN 2527
NVS AISI 316 stainless steel blind flange: closed (blind), raised face (RF). Size range: ½″–20″ (17 sizes). This flange has a solid center and is used to close the end of a line; it seals off line ends during maintenance or pressure testing, or until the line is extended later.
AISI 316 (1.4401) is a molybdenum-alloyed stainless steel. It resists chloride media, sea water and chemicals significantly better than grade 304 and is recommended for swimming pools, coastal sites, chemical plants and outdoor use.

Selection and installation notes
- The mating flange must have the same PN class and bolt pattern.
- The sealing face is raised; do not scratch it and use a suitable gasket.
- Grade 316 contains molybdenum and resists chloride media and sea water better than 304.
- Direct contact between stainless steel and galvanized or carbon steel can cause galvanic corrosion; use insulation (washers, unions) between different metals.
