NVS AISI 316 Stainless Steel Fender Washer DIN 9021
NVS AISI 316 stainless steel fender washer: large outside diameter, center hole. Size range: M3–M24 (12 sizes). This large flat washer (fender washer) has a clearly larger outside diameter than a standard flat washer for the same bolt size. It spreads the load over a wider area and reduces crushing of soft materials.
AISI 316 (1.4401) is a molybdenum-alloyed stainless steel. It resists chloride media, sea water and chemicals significantly better than grade 304 and is recommended for swimming pools, coastal sites, chemical plants and outdoor use.

Selection and installation notes
- The outside diameter is large, so check the installation clearance in advance.
- Choose the bolt, nut and washer in the same grade; mixing grades upsets the corrosion balance of the joint.
- Where the joint is in contact with aluminum or carbon steel, use insulation (gasket, plastic washer) against galvanic corrosion.
- AISI 304 is intended for general use; choose AISI 316 for chloride media, sea water and swimming pool applications.
