NVS AISI 304 Stainless Steel Y-Type Check Valve
The NVS AISI 304 stainless steel y-type check valve has bSP female thread on both ends and is available in 6 sizes from 1/2″–2″. This Y-body check valve prevents reverse flow; used at pump outlets and in circulation lines to stop backflow.
AISI 304 (1.4301) is a general-purpose chromium-nickel stainless steel, widely used for drinking and domestic water, hot water, heating and cooling circuits, compressed air and food plants.
Threads are BSP (Whitworth); do not combine with NPT-threaded parts.

Selection and installation notes
- 304 or 316? General purpose; water, heating and cooling, compressed air and food plants. For chloride-containing media, sea water or swimming pools choose AISI 316.
- Seal threaded joints with PTFE tape or a stainless-compatible liquid sealant; over-tightening stainless threads can cause galling.
- Joining stainless steel directly to galvanized or carbon steel pipe can cause galvanic corrosion; a dielectric (insulating) union is recommended between different metals.
