NVS AISI 304 Stainless Steel Wafer Check Valve
The NVS AISI 304 stainless steel wafer check valve has wafer type, installed between flanges and is available in 7 sizes from 1½″–6″. Clamped between two flanges with studs; its thin body saves space and prevents reverse flow.
AISI 304 (1.4301) is a general-purpose chromium-nickel stainless steel, widely used for drinking and domestic water, hot water, heating and cooling circuits, compressed air and food plants.

Selection and installation notes
- 304 or 316? General purpose; water, heating and cooling, compressed air and food plants. For chloride-containing media, sea water or swimming pools choose AISI 316.
- Joining stainless steel directly to galvanized or carbon steel pipe can cause galvanic corrosion; a dielectric (insulating) union is recommended between different metals.
