NVS AISI 304 Stainless Steel Hex Nut DIN 934
NVS AISI 304 stainless steel hex nut: hexagonal body, internal metric thread. Size range: M2–M39 (20 sizes). This standard hex nut is fitted on the end of a bolt or stud to clamp parts together. It is easy to tighten with a wrench and is used with stainless steel bolts and studs.
AISI 304 (1.4301) is a general-purpose chromium-nickel stainless steel. It is widely used in water, heating and cooling, compressed air, food processing and indoor and outdoor applications.

Selection and installation notes
- Stainless threads are prone to galling (cold welding); lubricate the threads and tighten at low speed.
- Choose the bolt, nut and washer in the same grade; mixing grades upsets the corrosion balance of the joint.
- A2 (304) is enough for general indoor and outdoor use; in chlorine, salt water or aggressive chemical environments, choose A4 (316).
- Direct contact between stainless steel and galvanized or carbon steel can cause galvanic corrosion; use insulation (washers, unions) between different metals.
