NVS AISI 304 Stainless Steel Flanged Y-Strainer
The NVS AISI 304 stainless steel flanged y-strainer has flanged and is available in 8 sizes from 1/2″–3″. Traps sediment and particles in a stainless screen to protect pumps, valves, meters and heat exchangers; for flanged lines.
AISI 304 (1.4301) is a general-purpose chromium-nickel stainless steel, widely used for drinking and domestic water, hot water, heating and cooling circuits, compressed air and food plants.

Selection and installation notes
- 304 or 316? General purpose; water, heating and cooling, compressed air and food plants. For chloride-containing media, sea water or swimming pools choose AISI 316.
- Joining stainless steel directly to galvanized or carbon steel pipe can cause galvanic corrosion; a dielectric (insulating) union is recommended between different metals.
