NVS AISI 304 Stainless Steel EPDM Sealing Washer
NVS AISI 304 stainless steel EPDM sealing washer: stainless washer with an EPDM rubber seal on the underside. Size range: Ø4.8–Ø10 mm (5 sizes). This stainless washer has an EPDM rubber seal bonded to its underside. It seals the screw or bolt hole against water and moisture.
AISI 304 (1.4301) is a general-purpose chromium-nickel stainless steel. It is widely used in water, heating and cooling, compressed air, food processing and indoor and outdoor applications.

Selection and installation notes
- The seal compresses as it is tightened; over-tightening cuts the seal or pushes it out, so tighten only until it is slightly compressed.
- The size label is the screw diameter, not the hole diameter; for example, the drawing shows a 5.2 mm inner hole for size 4.8.
- EPDM resists sunlight and weathering, but it is damaged by contact with mineral oil and solvents.
- AISI 304 is intended for general use; choose AISI 316 for chloride media, sea water and swimming pool applications.
- Direct contact between stainless steel and galvanized or carbon steel can cause galvanic corrosion; use insulation (washers, unions) between different metals.
