NVS AISI 304 Stainless Steel Hex Head Wood Screw DIN 571 (Coach Screw)
NVS AISI 304 stainless steel hex head wood screw: hex head, gimlet point, wood screw thread. Size range: Ø6–Ø12 mm · 30–150 mm (40 sizes). This screw has a hex head, a pointed tip and a wood screw thread, and is driven with a socket. It is used to join heavy timber members to each other or to a base.
AISI 304 (1.4301) is a general-purpose chromium-nickel stainless steel. It is widely used in water, heating and cooling, compressed air, food processing and indoor and outdoor applications.

Selection and installation notes
- Pre-drill in hardwood to prevent splitting.
- Drive the head with a socket; keeping the socket on axis prevents rounding the head.
- A2 (304) is suitable for fresh water, indoor and food environments; in sea water, chlorine and acidic environments, choose A4 (316).
- Direct contact between stainless steel and galvanized or carbon steel can cause galvanic corrosion; use insulation (washers, unions) between different metals.
