NVS AISI 304 Stainless Steel Weld-End Union (Conical Seat)
NVS AISI 304 Stainless Steel Weld-End Union (Conical Seat)
NVS AISI 304 stainless steel weld-end union: butt-weld ends on both sides, conical seat. Size range: Ø10.5–Ø114.3 mm (12 sizes). This three-piece union has a conical seat; both ends are welded to the pipe, and the center nut joins them so the line can be taken apart.
AISI 304 (1.4301) is a general-purpose chromium-nickel stainless steel. It is widely used in water, heating and cooling, compressed air, food processing and indoor and outdoor applications.
Applications
- Detachable connection point in welded pipelines

Selection and installation notes
- Weld with the union parts separated; this keeps the heat from damaging the seat surfaces.
- Do not scratch the conical seat surfaces; clean them before assembly, and pickle and passivate after welding.
- Where sea water, salty environments or chloride cleaning chemicals are present, choose grade 316.
- AISI 304 is intended for general use; choose AISI 316 for chloride media, sea water and swimming pool applications.
- Direct contact between stainless steel and galvanized or carbon steel can cause galvanic corrosion; use insulation (washers, unions) between different metals.
