NVS AISI 304 (A2-70) Stainless Steel Swing Eye Bolt DIN 444
NVS AISI 304 stainless steel swing eye bolt: eye head for hinged (swing) joints, metric thread. Size range: M6–M24 · 50–150 mm (46 sizes). This bolt has a head shaped as an eye with a hole and forms a hinge when it is pinned to a clevis. Because it pivots on the pin, it can be swung aside once the nut is loosened; it is used on frequently opened joints such as covers, flanges and clamps.
AISI 304 (1.4301) is a general-purpose chromium-nickel stainless steel. It is widely used in water, heating and cooling, compressed air, food processing and indoor and outdoor applications.

Selection and installation notes
- The pin and clevis that fit the eye hole must be selected separately.
- Stainless steel threads can gall (cold weld); lubricate the thread and tighten at low speed.
- A2 (304) is suitable for fresh water, indoor and food environments; in sea water, chlorine and acidic environments choose A4 (316).
- Direct contact between stainless steel and galvanized or carbon steel can cause galvanic corrosion; use insulation (washers, unions) between different metals.
