NVS - 3/4 Extensions

Detailed description of the parts used in plumbing systems to extend or adapt 3/4 inch (20 mm) threaded connections:

1. 3/4" Straight Extension (Male-Female)

• Features:
• One end 3/4" male, the other end 3/4" female thread.
• Brass or chrome-plated material.
• Area of Use:
• To extend a hose/pipe run (e.g. between a water valve and an appliance).
• Example: *"I extended the hose by adding a 10 cm extension to the 3/4" water inlet valve."*

2. 3/4" Reducing Extension (3/4" → 1/2")

• Features:
• One end 3/4" thread, the other end 1/2" thread.
• Ideal for pressure balancing.
• Area of Use:
• To join different sizes (e.g. main line → faucet connection).
• Example: *"I made the transition from a 3/4" main pipe to a 1/2" washing machine hose."*

3. 3/4" Branch Extension (T-Connection)

• Features:
• Inlet: 3/4" thread, Outlets: 2 × 3/4" thread.
• Chrome/brass material.

• To supply water to two appliances from a single source (e.g. connecting 2 appliances to the same valve).

4. 3/4" Blind Plug

• Features:

• Area of Use:
• To close unused 3/4" outlets (e.g. a spare radiator inlet).

5. 3/4" Flexible Extension Hose

• Features:
• 3/4" threaded ends + flexible metal/PVC hose.
• Length options from 30 to 100 cm.
• Area of Use:
• Flexible connection between fixed pipes (e.g. wall valve → appliance).

Installation Tips

1. Gasket/PTFE Tape: Use on all connections for a tight seal.
2. Tightening Force: Do not strain brass threads by overtightening.
3. Pressure Test: Turn the water on and check for leaks.

Which Part for Which Job?

Note: 3/4" extensions should conform to the TS 81/EN 10226 thread standard. In terms of material, stainless steel is ideal for high-temperature applications.
