Minol ZENNER C5 IUF Series
The Minol ZENNER C5 IUF is a compact heat meter with ultrasonic flow measurement, designed to measure the heating and cooling consumption of each individual unit in residential and commercial buildings with central heating.
The meter consists of a calculator unit, an ultrasonic flow sensor and a PT1000 temperature sensor pair. Since the flow sensor has no moving parts, it measures reliably even at low flow rates. Heating and cooling energy are stored in separate registers; monthly and annual due-date values are saved in memory.
Key Features (manufacturer data)
- MID-approved, accuracy class 2 (EN 1434)
- Separate registers for heating and cooling energy; additional national type approval for cooling measurement
- Installation in any position (including upside down)
- Flow sensor protection class IP68
- Medium temperature 0–105 °C
- Wired M-Bus or wireless wM-Bus (OMS) communication
- 3 programmable pulse inputs: hot and cold water meters can be read via the same meter
- Battery life at least 7 years (at least 10 years with the long-life option)
Applications
- Heat consumption metering for apartments and dwelling units
- Centrally heated apartment buildings and residential complexes
- Heat cost allocation and billing
- Offices and small commercial units
Why Minol ZENNER C5 IUF?
The C5 IUF combines the low-flow sensitivity of ultrasonic measurement with three pulse inputs that allow water meters to be read from the same point, plus remote meter reading via M-Bus or wM-Bus. Heat and water consumption per apartment can thus be collected through a single reading infrastructure.
Installation, Reading and Re-verification
Install the meter in the position and at the mounting point specified in its manual; a strainer upstream of the meter and an isolating valve before and after it (for easy replacement) are recommended. In Türkiye, Novus Energy also provides remote meter reading and heat cost allocation services after installation. Periodic re-verification requirements for heat meters depend on local regulations; see our re-verification and calibration page for details.
