Minol ZENNER C5 ISF Series
The Minol ZENNER C5 ISF is a compact heat meter with a single-jet mechanical flow sensor; it measures the heat energy consumed in apartment heating installations.
Flow is measured by a single-jet impeller turned by the water flow, and the flow–return temperature difference by a pair of PT1000 sensors. The calculator unit computes the energy consumed from these two values and stores monthly and yearly values in memory.
Key Features (manufacturer data)
- MID-approved, accuracy class 3 (EN 1434)
- Horizontal, 90° tilted or vertical installation
- Medium temperature 10–90 °C
- Flow sensor protection class IP54
- Wired M-Bus or wireless wM-Bus communication
- 3 programmable pulse inputs: hot and cold water meters can be connected
- Battery life at least 7 years (at least 10 years with the long-life option)
Applications
- Heat consumption metering for apartments and dwelling units
- Centrally heated apartment buildings and residential complexes
- Heat cost allocation and billing
- Offices and small commercial units
Why Minol ZENNER C5 ISF?
The C5 ISF has the same body length and connections as the ultrasonic models of the same size; it is suitable for replacing an existing mechanical meter without modifying the installation and for moving to remote meter reading while staying within budget.
Installation, Reading and Re-verification
Install the meter in the position and at the mounting point specified in its manual; a strainer upstream of the meter and an isolating valve before and after it (for easy replacement) are recommended. In Türkiye, Novus Energy also provides remote meter reading and heat cost allocation services after installation. Periodic re-verification requirements for heat meters depend on local regulations; see our re-verification and calibration page for details.
