Check Valve Applications
Check valves are general-purpose fittings used with fluids such as liquids and gases. They increase operational safety and, depending on the situation, can replace more complex fittings. A short installation length, quick installation and space savings make KAS check valves an advantageous choice.
The working part of a check valve is a hinged disc. This disc can move freely on the hinge pin in one direction. It operates automatically with the movement of the fluid. When the fluid flows in one direction, the disc opens and allows flow. When the flow reverses, the disc closes. In this way, flow in the line where the check valve is installed is one-way only.
KAS check valves can be installed in any position.
