• Reduction generally refers to returning a structure to its anatomical position or making it smaller (for example, setting a broken bone back in place).
• Reverse reduction refers, in orthodontic treatment, to teeth or the jaw moving in an undesired direction or changing position contrary to their normal position. It is a complication that can occur during or after treatment.

Why Does It Happen?
