KALDE - Coupling

A coupling is a pipe fitting used in many places, especially in plumbing installations.

It joins pipes to extend the line.

A coupling is a fitting used in plumbing installations to connect two pipes to each other. It is usually available in plain, threaded or welded versions and is made from different materials (PVC, brass, steel, cast iron).

Coupling Types:

1. Plain Coupling (Straight Coupling):
• Used to join two plain pipes.
• Connected by solvent bonding (for PVC), welding or compression (clamp) methods.
2. Threaded Coupling (Union):
• Used to join two threaded pipes.
• Sealed with a gasket or PTFE (Teflon) tape.
3. Reducing Coupling:
• Used to join pipes of different diameters.
4. Welded Coupling:
• Joined by welding on steel or cast pipes.

Areas of Use:

• Water, natural gas, sewage and industrial pipelines
• Booster and pump connections
• Heating and cooling systems

Advantages:

• Provides a quick and practical connection.
• Prevents pressure loss thanks to its leak-tightness.
• Long-lasting and durable.

If you need technical details or installation information, the coupling should be selected according to the pipe diameter and material.
