Why Use a Return Valve?
Radiator return valves are more than just shut-off devices. By enabling "hydronic balancing" of the system, they eliminate the problem of the radiator closest to the boiler getting very hot while the farthest one stays cold. They also let you isolate the radiator completely from the system for maintenance or repair.
Note: During installation, sealing materials (PTFE tape or hemp) should be applied using the correct technique.
