Standard Response

Sidewall Sprinkler - Standard Response sprinkler is easy to use and extremely reliable. The sprinkler is installed on a specially designed pipe network so as to cover the area that requires protection. The liquid in the glass bulb, one of the key parts of the sealing assembly, expands due to the heat generated by the fire and bursts the bulb. The sprinkler temperature rating should be selected 30°C above the maximum expected ambient temperature. When the glass bulb of the sprinkler above the fire bursts, pressurized water strikes the deflector and is sprayed onto the fire. Only the sprinklers exposed to the temperature rise during a fire activate and release water.

Used where there is no suspended ceiling and the piping must not be visible on the ceiling. They are mounted on the wall and spray water forward and downward. Used only in wet systems and in light to ordinary hazard occupancies. Typical projects include residential buildings, hotels, hospitals, dormitories and shopping malls.
