The Sidewall Sprinkler - Quick Response Sprinkler is easy to use and extremely reliable. Sprinklers are installed on a specially designed pipe network so that they cover the area requiring protection. The liquid inside the glass bulb, one of the key parts of the sealing assembly, expands with the heat generated by the fire and bursts the bulb. The sprinkler temperature rating should be selected 30°C above the maximum expected ambient temperature. When the glass bulb of the sprinkler above the fire bursts, the pressurized water strikes the deflector (distributor) and is sprayed onto the fire. Only a sprinkler exposed to a temperature rise during a fire bursts and releases water.

Used where there is no suspended ceiling and the piping must not be visible on the ceiling. They are mounted on the wall and spray water forward and downward. Used only in wet systems and in light to ordinary hazard occupancies. Typical projects include residential buildings, hotels, hospitals, dormitories and shopping malls.
