CEM KT Series
The CEM KT series are single-jet dry-dial water meters manufactured in Trabzon, Türkiye by Yavuz Metal under the CEM brand. The KT13 is the DN20 model of the series with a 110 mm body length; this product is the cold water version.
In a single-jet mechanism, water strikes the impeller in a single jet and turns it. In the dry-type design, the register does not come into contact with water, and consumption is read directly from the display.
Key Features
- Single-jet, dry type; sapphire bearings for long service life
- Vacuum-sealed mechanism protected against dust and fogging
- Protected against magnetic tampering
- 355° rotatable register for easy reading; suitable for optical reading
- 99,999 m³ register capacity, smallest scale division 0.05 liters
- Corrosion-resistant brass body; all wetted parts are made of suitable materials
- Pulse-ready for remote communication; the manufacturer offers pulse, M-Bus, wM-Bus/LoRaWAN and NB-IoT modules as accessories
- The manufacturer also offers a version with a check valve
- Made in Türkiye (Yavuz Metal, Trabzon)
Applications
- Measuring cold water consumption in apartments and individual dwelling units
- In-building submetering to allocate shared water costs in apartment buildings and housing complexes
- Offices, shops and small businesses
- Metering points to be read remotely via pulse, M-Bus or wireless module
Why CEM KT13?
The KT series is available with a measuring range of up to R160 in horizontal installation and can be installed in any position; its sapphire-bearing mechanism ensures a long service life. The meter can be purchased without a module and later upgraded to remote reading with the manufacturer's pulse, M-Bus, wM-Bus/LoRaWAN or NB-IoT module; being manufactured in Türkiye makes spare parts and supply easy.
Installation, Reading and Re-verification
Connect the meter with meter couplings matching the nominal diameter of the pipework, with the arrow on the body pointing in the direction of flow; do not connect a valve or elbow directly to the meter. The installation position must match the position for which the R value on the meter label applies. Installation follows the requirements of EN ISO 4064-5 and EN 14154-2.
Check your local regulations for the periodic re-verification requirements of cold water meters.
